A young man and father was a passenger in the front seat of a Chevy Corvette, when it was struck by another driver in a Porsche driving in the same direction on Commonwealth Avenue in Boston, Massachusetts. The Corvette collided with a lamppost on the sidewalk after being struck by the Porsche, which caused it to roll over. It was alleged that the two drivers knew each other and were engaged in horseplay (racing) when they collided. The passenger was transported by medical helicopter to an area hospital, where underwent surgery to repair his hip. He was hospitalized for several weeks and then did extensive rehab in recovering from his injuries.
Attorney Keith L. Miller was able to negotiate a complete settlement of the claims for the sum of $ 200,000, which included a significant payment from the insurer of the Corvette, which was registered in New Jersey, and allegedly had been lent to the client’s father by a friend.
