The town of Plymouth, Massachusetts is located on the eastern coast of the state approximately 40 miles south of Boston. Plymouth has a population of 58,681 and is the largest municipality in the state in terms of total area, which is 134 square miles. Plymouth is most known for being the place where the Pilgrims landed in 1620 and began their colony. Thus Plymouth is knicknamed “America’s Hometown.” Plymouth is part of Plymouth County.
